"I have determined that the reason the general subject matter is not good is because the contributors (about 1% of all online users according to Seth Godin) are stuffy, starch shirted managers who do not really understand the actual JOY that a person should get from creating a leader or managing something with skill and focus."

Amen! I'm very outspoken about my dislike for starch. Whether it's on a t-shirt buttoned up too tightly or it's in a can someone accidentally sat on, it's really aggravating when people are too stuck up to be personal. Okay, I get you're educated, does that really mean you can't blog like you're actually speaking to another human being? I'm not a dictionary inspector. You don't have to impress me with your language. If your blogs are inspiring people to make a difference in their lives, in any aspect of life you decide to write on, than you experience such a rush of excitement and pride in that person. You can't get that or even get that if you're too stuck up to write from an understanding perspective of your readers. That's how I blog and that's how I read them.

"Is this going to invoke emotion and stimulate my reader/is this thought-invoking to me and is this writer stimulating me as a person?"

Reminds me of a tweet I saw a couple of days ago:

@DanielMiessler "Your essay should be skirt length - long enough to cover the subject, but short enough to keep it interesting." -- Some Professor

I find this particular post to follow the spirit of that quote to the tee :)
